Regional Date Formats Display

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can help me with this.

I have built a report in Power BI and have the dates showing for when some opportunities are due to complete. I have now deployed the reports and the guys in the USA are asking if the date formats can be shown in mm/dd/yyyy. I am in the UK and the UK users want it in dd/mm/yyyy. I can't seem to find anything that helps me get the report to use the local settings of the user.

Can anyone help we on this?

Thanks

Paul

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you are ok doing it with DAX, you can use FORMAT to fix it.

For example FORMAT('Table'[Date], "dd-mm-yyyy")

Does this help you?

Hi @lc_finance

I need the format to be different depending on where the user is based. US users to see mm/dd/yyyy and UK users to see dd/mm/yyyy.

Ideally it picking up from the users regional settings on their device.

Thanks

Paul

Hi @Anonymous ,

they should be able to change by going on File -> Options and settings ->  Options -> Regional Settings.

Let me know if that works
