Regarding snowflaked dimension

Hello,

I have a snowflaked dimension which is linked as below. I did the "1 to many" from A to B and from "B to Fact".

                A---*B---*Fact

I have couple of slicers in my report. Now when I pull a column from snowflaked dimension ("A") into the report, it is showing alll the rows(Cartesian). Ideally as per the slicer, it should show only one value from the dimension.

Is there any reason for this? Or is it like PBI cannot handle snowflake directly like this?

PS: If I merge tables A& B, and pull the column from merged data, that works correctly and as expected.

Thanks,

@PWRBI_USER not sure what you are facing, can you share a sample file?

As per the snowflake, with slicer value, it should show only "Mutual Fund". But shows all.

Hey @PWRBI_USER already very late in my timezone (22:16 now) so ping me here tomorrow and we'll continue

@PWRBI_USER hey, can you do a quick teams/ zoom call now and show me?

Hi,

I inboxed you the details; as I saw your message late.  Let me know what time works for you. Alternately I attached  the screen shot of data (in above message)  in 3 tables and how my snowflaked dimension is showing all rows when I filter data using slicer.

Zoom id seems invalid now
