Hi All,
I am using Microsoft flow and Cognitive Services API for sentiment analysis in Power BI. So basicallly I have created a microsoft flow which reads the data from twitter, detect sentiments and adds the record in the power bi dataset.
I have done some testing based on various hashtags. Now I want to clear/truncate all the records which were fetched earlier and brings all the new set of tweets on some new hashtag. I could not find any feature to truncate the data either in Power Bi or in Flow.
Is there any way to truncate it so that I can reuse the same flow logic with some hashtags.
Regards,
Akash

@akj2784,
Do you create streaming dataset in Power BI Service following the guide in this blog? If so, on Power BI side, we can turn off historic data analysis option to truncate old data. Does ths option meet your requirement?

Cool. So should I turn historical data off and run the flow, it will truncate everything ?
And going forward if I want to maintain history then I will have to again turn it on ?
I havent tried. Before I try I want to clarify.
@akj2784,
You are able to run the Flow after turn off Historic data analysis option. The historic data will not reserve when the option is off.
You can turn on the option when you want to maintain history.
