Refreshing ODBC Datasource in power BI

We are trying to refresh the ODBC Datasource in Power BI Gateway using the following steps:

1. Install the driver for the data source and configure the ODBC Data source
2. Connect to the ODBC source from Power BI Desktop
3. Add the Datasource to Power BI Gateway
4. Publish the report to Power BI service and map the Data source to the Gateway.

We have already performed the first 2 steps successfully and were able to get data in the PowerBI desktop. But when we add a datasource to Gateway we get the following error:

Can anyone please explain about this error.

Hi @Anonymous

Please check these information.

1 Check the status of your Gateways in clusters(Power Platform admin center-> Data(preview)) and we suggest you using the latest version for every Gateway in your cluster

2 Whether the Connection String in the Manage Gateways matches the name of your data source

3 Choose Windows Authentication and use the admin account as the credentials

For more details about refreshing ODBC datasource on Power BI Service, you can refer REFRESHING ODBC DATASOURCE ON POWER BI SERVICE.

you need to repeat all the ODBC setup steps on all gateway cluster members (including the connection tests).

I did not quite understand your solution.
Can you please elaborate.

Gateways function pretty much like power BI Desktop. They use the same mashup engine to process the data sources etc.  So their connectivity needs to be setup the same as the connectivity on the desktop.  Install the ODBC drivers on all gateway cluster members, and test it.
