Refresh updated records without full refresh

Hello, folks

I started playing with Power BI a few days ago, fetching data from our provider of maintenance system with REST/JSON. I was able to get all records (~5k maintenance work orders, what required about 30 minutes to load) using the server's pagination procedure (500 records per page).

Now, I wanted to refresh changed orders, without the need to refresh the full data, to speed up the process. The server is able to deliver me only changed orders, but I could not find how to set up the query this way.

For the pagination I was able to merge the results into one table, but how could I set up the update to the same table?

Thanks, and regards,

Mauricio

Hi @v-chuncz-msft

Looks promissing, let me read about it a little bit more, but that could be the answer!

Refresh data
Do one of the following:

To refresh the records in Datasheet or Form view, on the Home tab, in the Records group, click Refresh All, and then click Refresh.

To refresh the records in PivotTable or PivotChart view, on the Design tab, in the Data group, click Refresh Pivot.

Press SHIFT+F9.

Well,

The post is on Power BI Desktop, and your reply applies to Excel.
Besides, I asked how to NOT refresh everything, and your method would refresh all the datasources.
I don't know if you really thought that would help, or you're just looking to increase your statistics.

Hi,

check if this can help. You'll find this dialog right clicking a table in model view .

Hi,

From what I read, there should be support from the server for this operation and, besides, you set up a date interval for refresh.
What I would expect to have is what you can do with any database system, that is an update query.
