Refresh report every 5 minutes or less

Hi All

I can set the report to refresh every 15 minutes, but is there a way to set it to refresh every 5 minutes or less?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

As long as your report is built in Direct Query, everytime you load the report in your browser it will refresh the data so all you need to do is go into the options of Rotisserie and add the URL for your report, plus the number of seconds you want it to refresh. I have added multiple reports so they show in order and display different reports.

If you want to get rid of the BI user interface for displaying it then type

?chromeless=1

at the end of the URL.

I then connect this to a 60 inch plasma in my office to display stats in near real time.

I hope this helps.

Hi @Anonymous

If you just want to see the data as a visual you can do something I have done. Create the report as a direct query and then display the report in Chrome with an extension which refreshes the page on an interval. (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/rotisserie-url-rotator/iljemanjjfjlglhkmojkmfbpphiaheja?hl=en)

I use this on some 60" plasma's around the office and switch between a few different reports every minute or so. This way you can see how the business is doing and keep updated in almost real-time.

Let me know if this helped.

Thank you so much. I have the exact same scenario and this work great , just a tad delay on the 65 inch screen, can live with that. 🙂

HI @Anonymous ,

Nope, power bi not allow you to setting such small interval/frequency of schedule refresh. If you want to show live data, I'd like to suggest you to create streaming dataset and live tiles.
