We can refresh the dataset in Power BI Desktop file (.pbix) in Power BI Desktop by clicking the “Refresh” button. Is there any way to do this programmatically?
Not sure if it is the correct forum to post but someone might be able to answer.
Solved! Go to Solution.
@javedbh You can consider power bi embedded which gives you set of APIs to perform power bi tasks. Since that feature is still in preview there is no API to trigger data refresh programatically however that may change in future as that feature moves out of preview.

PBI Desktop is a development tool to develop models and reports meant for sharing in the Power BI Service where you can schedule refresh of your data. I don't know of any feature to enable auto refresh in .pbix files.
