Refresh Fails SharePoint on Premise - Implementation' isn't a valid OData.Feed option

I am new with Power BI.  I am connected to a SharePoint On Premise list and can refresh on the desktop but keep getting below error when trying to refresh in PBI online.

 

Security...

On Desktop...sharepoint.XXXX/XXXXX/XXXXXX/_vti_bin/listdata.svc/XXXXx

 

permission: window credentials level Organizational

PBI online - using a service account

Credentials ODATA

What does this all mean? .......  Thanks

HI @GetITDone ,

AFAIK, power bi has its own sharepoint connector. I'd like to suggest you to use sharepoint connector to test if it works.

@v-shex-msft Thanks for your reply.  I had tried that before and was having different challenges therefore went to ODATA.  However can give it another try.  Is there a way that I can use my current reports or do I have to re-create them all   🙂 Thanks

Hi @GetITDone ,

Current power query table not support dynamic table structure, so you need to manually modify query table steps to select/modify correspond fields from different databases to keep query steps works.

Then power bi data model can keep same data structure to analysis based on visuals created in previous.
