Hey guys,
I'm just staring to use Power BI and I'm trying to do something that doesn't look that hard when it comes to Excel, but I'm struggling for some days now to calculate it in power BI.
I have a table with three columns made by the crossjoin function:
Client | Item code | Month
I want to calculate a 4th column to estimate sales for the month, but I need to use the information from previous months to do it.
For exemple, calculating future sales for june would require me to use the amount of itens sold from january to may.
Is this even possible in power BI? How could I get started?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks for the support! 🙂
Hi @Anonymous,
From your description, I could not figure out the relationship between the sales and other columns, and I also could not understand how could you want to calculate the future sales? Could you please offer me the sample data of the table made by the crossjoin function and could you give me the logic relation about your desired future sales?
Regards,
Daniel He
