Reference Tables Questions

Just a quick question............when I create a reference table I assume it is like an "alias".  So, I take Table 1 with a source to a Data Warehouse table (Source table) and say make 2 references to that table, Table 2 and Table 3 and model as needed.  Publish dataset to the PowerBI service and schedule refreshes.  I assume this works like other tools, the refresh "refreshes" the source table (Table 1) and the two reference tables reflect changes to the source.  Correct?

@Razorbx13 ,

Yes, just take care because every steps applyed to the referended table will be applied to the table reference.

Thanks Ricardo.........I understand.  I usually bring in source tables and remove columns and filter, then just create aliases and do my work.  Have done that in Cognos in the past and that was always my method of modeling.
