Refer to selected value when interaction have been disabled

Hi,

 

I'm trying to achieve situation where based on selected date from slicer, the Y-Axis contant line would appear on plot, for the purpose of ilustrating the problem I used line chart. 

 

There is relatively simple data model with fact table and date table.

The tab is composed of 4 elements: date slicer, 2 cards and line chart.

What makes this page unique is the fact that I have disabled interaction coming from date slicer on line chart. So it means, whenever I change the date in the slicer, cards will be update, but the line chart remains the same. I would like to add to the line chart Y axis constant line based on selected month. Due to fact that I have disabled interaction coming from slicer, the selected date used in y axis constant line doesn't work.

 

Any idea how to get around this?

Is that you want something like this:

You need create a new table named table via VALUES('DateTable'[month start date])

 


Pbix in the end you can refer.

@zbpor 

Create another slicer of Month and then keep the interaction! with current status the date filter impacts the month filter and accordingly you will get required result

I'm not sure if I'm getting you right. 

I have added new slicer which have all interaction enabled. But it showing the same list of items as the first one. 

... once I click the item in the second one obiously, line chart is filtered.

 

Could you ilustrate your approach in the sample file below:
