Recursing fuzzy match

Hi all,

I want to do a recursing fuzzy match within the same table.

Ex:

Subscriber Number                   Name

1                                                Smith

4                                                Smiths

12                                              Shmiths

And end up with the following table

Smith                    Smiths                 1                      4

Smith                    Shmiths               1                    12

Smiths                  Shmiths               4                     12

I was trying with duplicating a table, trying fuzzy merge into a table but right now I am out of ideas.

Maybe fuzzy matching is not the issue.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Francois

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can use dax to achieve 'start with', 'end with', contains match, but it is impossible to use dax formula to achieve similarity fuzzy match.

From SQL to DAX: String Comparison
