Records not appearing in report

I created a Power BI report that should have 1420 records imported off an Excel file. When I import the data, Power BI correctly shows that there are 1420 records in the dataset. However, when I create summary visuals (such as a Card), it will only show 1400 records. There are no filters applied or other obvious reasons for why it is dropping 20 records off of the visuals.

Can anyone help me to figure out how to get the other 20 records to appear in the report?

Hi @spinachbisque,

When making the update of the darta do you get any error message?

  • Go to the query editor and check if there is a table with upload errors, you can have some columns that have information that were not possible to convert to the type of data you select on the query editor. Exampl trying to convert text to number.
  • On the table view check if on the bottom the total number of rows is 1420 or 1400

What type of summarization are you placing in the card you are using? Are you using a number column or a text column?

  • Make sure summarization is not for example count distinct.
