Reading Data source and Set configured in the Reporting Server Portal

Hi,

I want to do modelling and creating report by using data source and set configured in the Reporting Server Portal. But when I clicked Get Data button, there is no anything can do reading database thru configured "Data Source" and "Data Set". Is this impossible? Then is this only possible when building report with SQL Server Report Builder?

Thanx.

Hi @eijer ,

It is still not supported to read Data source and set configured in the Reporting Server Portal until now. I woudl suggest you opening an idea in https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas

Best Regards,

Teige

@TeigeGao

Would you please see this ? https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Report-Server/Way-to-change-user-logged-in-Need-custom-login/td-p/6...

It's about login to RS Portal, I am looking for way to logoff and logon another user in the same computer environment, without computer login with another user's.

Hi @TeigeGao

How long will it take to be accepted and applied to its next upgrade? 😉

Users do not understand why it's designed like this and why it isn't still supported.

For shorthening users work process, it must be applied to the next.

By the way, if so, Data Source and Set are only for building thru SQL Report Builder?

Thanx for your answer.
