Rapid query fails in PBI

I have created a PBI report in PBI Desktop that has a SSAS Live connection

The report uses a Table visual including 5 fields from the data source.

The visual is loading for about 5 minutes before failing.

I have used sql server profiler to track the query and it takes about 2 seconds (I have also tried the same query in Management Studio and excel with the same result – 2 seconds)

Any ideas of why this happens?

I can't reproduce it at my side. Can you share some detail content about your issue? It will be help for troubleshooting.

thanks for getting back

After some more invetigation it seems like this "issue" is related to SSAS 2016

The same query works fine on SSAS 2014
