RankX formula question

I am trying to rank sales leaders based on their average daily sales growth rate. The expression I am using seems to work, but any reason why the rankings would be arbitrary numbers instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? Appreciate any help.

Any chance you can provide sample data or PBIX file?

@dmoney7612 what is Employee Id, can you remove that from the visual and check if it works, maybe it is passing the row filter context to the measure?

If my solution proved useful, I'd be delighted to receive Kudos. When you put effort into asking a question, it's equally thoughtful to acknowledge and give Kudos to the individual who helped you solve the problem. It's a small gesture that shows appreciation and encouragement! ❤

@dmoney7612 yes, if you want to keep the employee id and then in allselected include this also.

@dmoney7612 in allselected give the column name of the leader

ALLSELECTED ( YourTable[LeaderColumnName] )

Now each ranking appears as "1". Are there any other tweaks needed to the expression?

Leader ranking = RANKX (ALLSELECTED('EC Hierarchy'[VP]),[ADS % Growth],,DESC,Dense)

@parry2k any additional insight here? Here is how it currently looks:

dmoney7612_0-1634913049855.png

Reference the main fact table column in the ALLSELECTED instead of the Hierarchy table column

Main fact table?

Sorry, I am assuming the EC hierarchy table is a dimension table. If it actually the fact table, try ALLSELECTED (EC Hierarchy)
