RLS Limit??

Hey,

I am trying to add email address to the Row Level Security under Dataset -> Security in Power BI Server. It is not letting me add more than 99. After that the "SAVE" button just stays in Yellow still instead of turning grey (Which means it saved it). IS there any limit on the number of emails? Or why is this happening?

Thank You!

Probably some type of limit based upon the total length of the email addresses in the field. Use a group instead.

Well, you would typically either create that in Active Directory and sync it to Office 365 using Azure AD Connect. Or create the group in Office 365 directly. I believe this last one works from another thread about this.

Can I confirm that this limitation of 99 users are still there? Even after 2 years since it was first reported?

@Greg_Deckler Hey is group like another workspace? Because I have never seen an option called "Groups"

From here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-rls

Working with members

Add members

You can add a member to the role by typing in the email address, or name, of the user, security group or distribution list you want to add. This member has to be within your organization. You cannot add Groups created within Power BI.

@Greg_Deckler Got that. IS there a way to create a security group? Sorry for the repeated questions!
