R visuals in Power BI Desktop has a few limitations

Hi guys,

Supposedly I am about to analyze the sales distribution for an entire year which have 800,000 observations (approx.). As i was reading R-Scripts Data Limitations that R-visuals has data size limitations shown below, Let's say i want to look at the relationship of their shipment and sales using R-scripts integrated with Power BI, and also about using the geocodes map for visualizations, I only get 26,000(approx.) bubbles but  I have at most 500,000 unique latitude and longitude, do you have any suggestions regarding this matter?

R visuals in Power BI Desktop has a few limitations:

  • Data size limitations – data used by the R visual for plotting is limited to 150,000 rows. If more than 150,000 rows are selected, only the top 150,000 rows are used and a message is displayed on the image.

Thanks in Advance,

Mark

According to the official document about Power BI Map visualization, there is no such limit. I think you can try with it instead of the R visual.

Since there are some limitations for the R visual, you can try with other built-in visuals (e.g. map visuals) according to your data in Power BI Desktop.

Hi,

Sorry I think I mislead you on the issue about map visualizations. I used the built in functions of POWER BI to visualize my data using bubble map, But it only plots 26,000 geocodes out of 500,000 unique geocodes. does Powe BI map visualization has limits too in regards to geocodes?

Thanks,

Mark
