Hello,
I use Power BI Desktop (October 2017) optimalized for reporting services and have installed both CRAN R 3.2.1 and Microsoft R Open.
Unfortunetelly, no matter which R home directory I select, it seems no embedded R functionality or custom visual works.
Printscreens are included below.
Help would be appreciated, thanks a lot.

Report Server does not yet support R visuals. Even if you got the visual working in Desktop, it wouldn't work once deployed. It's under review, and you can vote up the idea here: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/31910464-r-visuals-in-report-serv...

To test if R is truly working, try something very simple that does not require any modules. I am betting that R is working but that you don't have all of the modules you need installed as those are the errors that you are getting. Now, as I recall, I have had some issues with where exactly to place R modules when you install them from the R editor. I remember that being a bit frustrating.
