Hi,
We are planning to have 2017 SQL Server Analysis Server for our corporate BI.
Any reference to a good video which has the explaination of the architecture which uses SSAS.
And also wanted to understand which one to user
Tabular or Multidimensional.
Any good video on this which explains the purpose of both. And which goes most with Power BI.
Can we use model built on import method using Power BI Desktop in SSAS. ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Akash

Hi @akj2784,
To compare the difference when connecting to SSAS Multidimensional models and SSAS Tabular models in Power BI desktop, you could refer to below articles:
Connect to SSAS Multidimensional Models in Power BI Desktop
Using Analysis Services Tabular data in Power BI Desktop
Besides, in this thread, Eno1978 listed some advantages of using Multidimensional models and Tabular models.
For SSAS, Power BI desktop supports both live connection and import method.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
