Query editor shows values but in modelling mode its invisible

Hey,

thats a strange scenario:

The values in the column are visible in the query editor, but in the model are not, but the data is available.

As you can see in the legend at the bottom, the entries are counted as values, but i can´t see them in the table, neither i can do a DATEDIFF function on it.

Tried to remove the table in the query editor and add them again with the same result. Not all date colums are affected, only a few. Format of the colums are untouched, still date format for those colums.

Need your assistance on that topic please.

Hi @Anonymous,

If I understand your issue correctly that you could see the column in query editor but you cannot see the values in the column in data model?

By my tests, I cannot reproduce your issue with the latest version of Power BI Deskop.

What's version of your Power BI Desktop? Please check if your have installed the latest version of Power BI Desktop 2.65.5313.701 64-bit (December 2018)?

In addition, is your data size very large? Maybe this issue is caused by the large data size.

Please click refresh button to check if it will show successfully?

One more question, do you have this issue for other pbix?

Best Regards,

Cherry

Strange. I sometime have that problem but generally switch from data view to report view and back again fixes it. You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".

What @Greg_Deckler suggested is usually my fix for this. Failing that, sometimes refreshing the data source can also be the solution.
