Quantity appears different when connected from SAP server

Hello

I recently connected my Power BI desktop to SAP application server database and when data is pulled from it, the numerical data appears to be different; in the sense, it comes out with 5 additional zeroes as show in the attached screenshot. But this works perfect for the users in India but doesn't work for users in Singapore. I have tried changing the regional settings in the tool but still failed to work. My business intelligence support team says that this is a tool level issue and they couldn't be of much help. Can someone please help? I couldn't do a work around by creating separate columns because there are few lines (very few), that are without these zeroes.

Hi @Anonymous

Could you explain more about your expected output? For example:200000 should be what for singapore?Maybe you may set the data type to text and then use 'replace value' to replace the 5 additional zeroes to other text.

Hello @v-cherch-msft

Thanks a lot the response. The value of 200000 should come as 2. It comes as decimal from raw data, and when i change to whole number, it gets the zero added to it. The same process doesn't impact users in india. I am unable to convert to text as I use the numbers in the calculation.

Hi @Anonymous

It seems you may try to set the Region of PC and Locale in desktop.

Dear Cherie,

I have changed the location of my laptop as well as the regional settings in PowerBI but didn't seem to solve my issue.

Please see the attached screenshot after making the changes. Still unable to exactly figure out the issue.

Dear Cherie,

I tried as given in the article. but it works for somelines and doesn't work for some of the lines. My data comes live from SAP database, so i am trying to log a call with Microsoft support too. I will inform you if I able to solve it. Thanks for you extended support.
