Hi,
I need to calculate QoQ (Q1 vs Q2).
In this following approach I am only able to check QoQ at a month level. For instance, Jan 2020 vs Apr 2020. Can you please help me with a solution on how this can be prepared for quarterly comparison?
QoQ_CF =
var sumoflastquarter =
CALCULATE(SUM('fred_h8_bankinig_03132023'[Amt in Bn_CF]), DATEADD(fred_h8_bankinig_03132023[Month],-1,QUARTER),
ALLEXCEPT('fred_h8_bankinig_03132023',fred_h8_bankinig_03132023[series_title],'fred_h8_bankinig_03132023'[Month]))
var sumofthisquarter =
CALCULATE(SUM('fred_h8_bankinig_03132023'[Amt in Bn_CF]), ALLEXCEPT('fred_h8_bankinig_03132023',fred_h8_bankinig_03132023[series_title],'fred_h8_bankinig_03132023'[Month]))
return DIVIDE(ABS(sumofthisquarter-sumoflastquarter),sumoflastquarter,0)

@Satya_04 , Always use date table in such cases in visual , measure formula
examples
QTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESQTD(('Date'[Date])))
Last QTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESQTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,QUARTER)))
Qtr Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESQTD(ENDOFQUARTER('Date'[Date])))
Last QUARTER Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESQTD( ENDOFQUARTER(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,QUARTER))))
Last QUARTER Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),PREVIOUSQUARTER(('Date'[Date])))
trailing QTR = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,QUARTER))
trailing 4 QTR = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-4,QUARTER))

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.
