Pushing an object to the back regardless of clicking on it

Hi everyone,

I need to use a shape as background of a slicer pane I have built in a report

You can see the pane in the screenshot above.
The white background you see behind the slicers is a rectangle shape that covers other visuals, the slicers and the shape are grouped in the selection pane and they are hidden by default but activated with a bookmark

Now, the problem is that even if I put the object as the last in the group, when I click on it it comes forward, hiding the slicers. This should never happen as I want it to cover the page but to work as background for my slicers

Is there a way I can lock it in that background position to avoid that the user hides the slicers by clicking on it by mistake?

Thanks

Hi, @Anonymous

As of now, there is  no good solution. You can only try to adjust the transparency of the fill background color of the shape to 100%, and adjust the position of each visual object through the selection pane.

@Anonymous , what advantage this shape will give?

Refer to this collapsible pane, if that can help in any way

Select the rogue visual, go to the formatting pane/general and toggle the "Maintain Layer Order" to "ON".

This will work in reading mode (not in editing mode)
