Project Evolution in Monthly Reports

Hi all,

Usually I have to manage several projects and each month I get a report with economic data about each project dated at end of month.

I'm adding in an excel sheet each report in a cumulative way with a column identifying the month data is related to so for each project I have several rows with the status of the project in each date, but datas as project value are usually the same in all rows.

When I put it inside power BI and I try to make a graph with project value grouped by client, Power BI adds the value of each project for each row it appears even if I filter by one specific date of the reports.

I am sure that I am not making the right approach to the solution but I do not know how to do it in other way.

Do you have any idea to put together all data from all projects from each montly report and to show it in a proper way?

Thank you very much!

Miguel

Hi @miggarsal ,

I am not sure what desired result would you want, could you please share your sample data and desired output screenshots for further analysis? You can also upload sample pbix to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.

Thank you for your answer @v-xicai .

The fact is that I was building an example and in it everything worked as expected...

Probably some corrupted data in original, I will check and come back if i discover something.

Thank you again!

Miguel
