Profit & Loss Statement Template

Hi All,

Does anyone have a template for a profit and loss statement?,

I have transactions from the general ledger with nominal, cost centres, dates and debit/credit balances etc. but can't find an easy way to convert this to a statement. I link to a cost centre table and nominal table which has all the hierarchies.

The main issue is reversing the sign for income in the matrix table but still getting the correct signage for profit.

Thanks

Steve

If I'm following the question correctly, then you can multiply the amounts by -1 or 1 to flip them accordingly.  In the past I've had accounting supply the value in the source system to help indicate which way accounts needed to be flipped (I believe that is what you're refering to when you say nominals. Accounts right?) and then in calculations you can just multiply your sums by the factor in that column and it will flip the values for different types of reporting.
