Product-related monthly rolling average

Hello everybody,

I have problems with the processing of my data and ask for your help.

The database has two columns with the following properties:

-[Date]: Production date (data hierarchy)
-[Product]: Name of the product (Product_01, Product_02, ..)

Now I would like to calculate the average in a new column, for each producttype, rolling every four months. There are no production numbers (integer) available, each data series represents a production of Product_X.

Assuming there are five products and my data start on 01.03.2018 (DD/MM/YYYY), I would like to output for each producttype of the month January the average of the respective production figures from January-April.

For products produced in February from February-May and so on...

I have already found similar articles on rolling averages, but unfortunately I was not able to implement them successfully.

Could you perhaps help me?

Kind regards

Nilson

@parry2k  Assuming I want to use the rolling averages for each product for later calculations, how do I best solve this?

More precisely, I would like to break down the total average to the partial averages per product.
