Problems with Power Query Editor

Hi Everyone,

I encountered this error in Query Editor.

"Preview.Error: The type of the current preview value is too complex to display.
Details:"

when i was trying to use the function such as "Append Queries" in Query Editor.

However the this table can be preview in the Power BI desktop.

Appreciate your help. I was thinking is it because there is around 60,000 rows in this table? is there any limitation in the preview in the Query Editor?

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous,

Please test whether the same error prompts if appending two queries which have fewer rows.

I am having the same issue here when appending just two factsales tables. Both tables have about 50k rows. is there a certain threshold when it comes to appending tables together? if so, what is it? Thanks

Hi there

As far as I know there should not be any limitation when doing the actual append, I have done a few million rows before with no issues.

Hi there

The preview should only load initially about a 1000 rows.

Is the source table and the table you are appending from having all the identical column names (Including upper and lower case spelling) as well as the same data types?
