Dear all,
I have a very particular problem on extracting data from an analysis services cube. I eplain in better:
if I use a dynamic connection to this cube I am able to extract all the right dimensions but, if I try to use the import method I obotain differents values of them. (applying always the same filters and extracting the same dimensions).
Example:
From dynamics connection (right data benchmarket with the application generating the data):
NAME BUDGET SCENARIO TEAM
Mr. Rossi 2016 - ROLLING Development team
From importing connection (wrong data):
NAME BUDGET SCENARIO TEAM
Mr. Rossi 2016 - ROLLING "DIFFERENT TEAM"
Anyone is able to explain this particular behavior?
Thanks
@Anonymous
In this scenario, does your "dynamic connection" mean using Query Parameter in Advanced Editor?
If so, which part is dynamic in your connection?
Based on your data, NAME, BUDGET and TEAM should be dimensions. Does the fact data still show correct result?
I tested with a "dynamic server name" connection to same structure cubes. However, I haven't encountered this issue.
Regards,
Yeah, for dynamic connection i mean without importing data and without using advanced query editor. In this case I did not need fact values but, I figured out that it was an error on the cube. I'm working on it, if I will solve it I'll post here in order to close the topic.
Thanks
Ale
