Hi,
I am having trouble loading a large data set into Power BI desktop. The data source i have used is MongoDB. I am using the ODBC driver to load the data.
It is taking too much time to load data and then gives the error: "there are not enough memory to load the data".
Is POWER BI desktop having some kind of limitations for size of data to be load into it?
Thanks,
Axata
Hi @axata,
There are some proposals for you solving this issue.
1. Increase the amount of memory available on your machine.
2. Increase the size of “Maximum allowed” as shown below in Power BI Desktop.
3. Import essential columns and rows of your data source to Power BI Desktop, and optimize your data model following the guide in this blog, the blog also applies to Power BI Desktop.
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
@axata It is probably the memory on your machine that is the restriction. How large is the data as it sits in MongoDB?
My Data which are stored in MongoDB is containing the almost 6 crore data in it. and the size of the file is 6.73 GB.
Also want to just check an easy missed variable too. Are you using 32bit or 64bit version of Power BI?
I am using the 64bit version of POWER BI.
