Problem: Direct query and calculated columns

Hello,

I run a direct query connection but it does not let me add calculated columns and transform the data in Power Query?

Believe this is a setting so would appreciate a work around or a solution to build a model on direct query connection.

Hi @Luukv93

It is possible to add calculated columns or do some actions in query editor when there's a direct query connection. But there're some limitations for it. Below is the articles about these limitations for your reference.

Hi, @v-cherch-msft

We have production lines that produce products. The labeling engine records all packages produced in a sql database. I would like to know if it is possible to stream that data to a dashboard so we can monitor this process real -time
