Prior Month's Sales -

Hello,

I am using a couple of different measures to calculate the previous month's total sales  (not the last 30 days, but the actual previous calendar month).   So in this case, today is Sept 30 I want all of August.

Both of these work.   But they require that I have a filter visual set to the current month.   Which means I have to remember to change it each month.   Is there a more dynamic way to do this that automatically adjusts?

Last Month Shipped = CALCULATE([Total Shipped Value], PREVIOUSMONTH(Dates[Date]))

PriorMTD Orders = CALCULATE([Total Orders]
                               ,DATEADD(DATESMTD(Dates[Date])
                                        ,-1
                                        ,MONTH
                                       )
                               )

I think these are the best option. To make your date selection dynamic. Put that to filter pane and use Advance or relative date
