Hello,
I need to be able to print out the date which the user input into the Filter. Is there any way to reference this date in a DAX formula?
I have tried MIN, but my data goes back farther than what the user entered.
I have tried CALCULATE ( FIRSTDATE ( 'tbl_DailyGifts_v20'[Gift Date] ), FILTER ( 'tbl_DailyGifts_v20'[Gift Date] ) )
and also CALCULATE ( FIRSTDATE ( 'tbl_DailyGifts_v20'[Gift Date] ), ALLSELECTED ( 'tbl_DailyGifts_v20'[Gift Date] ) )
but these give me the first date for which I have data, not the date which the user entered into the filter.
For example, the user enters 1/1/2021 through today into the filter. The data starts on 1/6/2021. Both of these formulas will return 1/6/2021, but this is confusing people, so I need to be able to print 1/1/2021.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Esther

I was able to use the ALLEXCEPT function, and it worked.
@esther21179 , Try like
Minx( allselected('tbl_DailyGifts_v20'), 'tbl_DailyGifts_v20'[Gift Date] )
That didn't work either. Still gave me 1/6/2021, which is the first date for which there is data. Any other idea?
I was able to use the ALLEXCEPT function, and it worked.
