Primary and Secondary Slicer

Hello,

I have created a dashboard to show the visitor's activity on our website based on different campaigns. To identify the campaign visitors we are using tracking code in the URL, such as:

1. banner-CA-hero-home-page-now-25-off-oct2019

2. dis-na-us-smb-XXX_YYYYYYY_native_prosp_LAB

3. ps-na-us-partner-cdw-nov-dec-2018

Now based on these tracking codes I have created a column as "Campaign Type". If the tracking code contains "banner" at the beginning the campaign will be "Banner Campaign", if it is containing "dis" at the beginning the campaign will be "Display Campaign" and if it contains "ps" at the beginning the campaign will be "Paid Search". These are the logics behind "Campaign Name" column.

In the Dashboard one slicer is there as "Campaign Type" and one as "Tracking Code". Now let me tell you about two scenarios:

1. Suppose someone selected "Banner" from "Campaign Type" the "Tracking Code" slicer will show only the banner campaign related tracking codes.

2. Now the opposite; if someone selected any banner campaign related tracking code from the "Tracking Code" slicer, the "Campaign Type" slicer shows the Banner option only. Now the user has to deselect the tracking code to see all the options under "Campaign Type" slicer.

Now the management doesn't want the 2nd scenario. They want even if someone selected any banner campaign related tracking code from the "Tracking Code" slicer, the "Campaign Type" slicer will keep showing all the options.

Is it a feasible demand?

If yes, please suggest.

Regards

Utsav

Hi, @utsavlexmark

As far as I know, the method @Anonymous  mentioned works.

Select the Tracking Code slicer, edit the interactions in the "Format", and select None for the "Campaign Type" slicer.

@utsavlexmark Select slicer "Tracking Code", then select "Edit interactions" on the Format tab, after that choose 'none' on the visual header of second slicer.

It is not working in this way.

😥

Any other option?
