Previousmonth by category not working

Hi 

When am using chart or table with month Previousmonth function is working well.

However when i slide this by store/category its blank.

PREVMONTH = CALCULATE([Volume],PREVIOUSMONTH('dim MS Cal'[Date]))

Appreciate your help or advise

PREVIOUSMONTH will work when a single month is filtered, eg. in a slicertry using DATEADD function, then any period selection is possible:

PREVMONTH = CALCULATE([Volume],DATEADD('dim MS Cal'[Date],-1, MONTH))
