In PowerBI desktop, I have the page view set to "fit to page" recently i've been moving visuals around and instead of locking the page size it allows me to drag the visual further over or up and down then would fit on the page and this results in part of the page being cut off or no longer visible. Is there a way to lock the view so for example if i were to drag a visual to the bottom right hand corner it doesnt scroll and allow me to place the visual "off the page" and then making it so that I can no longer see portions of the other visuals on the page? I've attached a before and after picture to help explain the issue
Hi @boldwake,
Did you mean drag the yellow box to the right bottom too far will change other two charts view? I'm trying to reproduce it in desktop but failed. Would you please share detail steps for our analysis? If possible could you please share the sample report?
Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
how do i share the sample report with you.
if i drag any visual (either by making it bigger or by physically moving it) it will shift what i can actually see on the screen. it doesn't change the other visuals. i can probably record a video of what i'm doing but don't know how to share it with you
I have the same issue. The best solution I have found for existing files is to fit to width, then extend any object below the page. This reveals the footer and I can return the extended object to its original size.
For new projects, extend the page size using the custom sizing and build in extra space for the footer. Trim when finished.
