HI @audministrator,

In my opinion, I think you requirement can be split to two part.
#1, how to find out power bi data model local instance and port number.
#2, use powershell to connect to SSAS instance with servername and port number.

For this situation, you can refer to following links:

Analysis Services PowerShell

Four Different Ways to Find Your Power BI Desktop Local Port Number

BTW, I think you can post to powershell related forum to get more support for powershell usage.

Technet forums - Windows PowerShell

Hi Xiaoxin Sheng,

Thanks for the feedback

Actually I am not looking for PowerShell support.

This was a contribution to the community (see Label TIPS & TRICKS)

BTW :

The PowerShell module you referred to does not work for Power BI Desktop.

But is mean for the SSAS Server edition.

See Analysis Services PowerShell : Prerequisites : Supported Versions and Modes of Analysis Services

I hope it is usefull for someone 🙂

Hi @audministrator,

How about this one, it list lots of functions to use powershell to process SSAS cube data:

Processing SSAS Cubes using PowerShell

BTW, I search on Internet and find most of them use particular powershell version to process SSAS, it seems simple than standalone version.

Hi,

The link you posted refers to the server edition of SSAS using PowerShell.

On top of that is that the PS Module SQLPS that is references in the article is obsolete...

PS :

If I get someting running I will post it here.
