Powerbi data profiling for 150 COLUMN dataset is having issues

Hi All,

I m trying to do data profiling using the latest version of Power BI for a dataset which is having 100k records with 150 Columns and I m facing the below problems 

1. Getting profiling results very slowly ( the column results are taking too much time to populate). 

2. In one view I see 20 columns and when I slide over to see the next 20 columns, I see the results taking a lot of time to populate ( need to wait for minutes)

The dataset was given to me in excel and I loaded that in the SQL server table(Note:no index created) and connected Powerbi to do data profiling .

Questions:

1 . Should we be doing data profiling for this large 100k dataset using powerbi or we should use another tool?

2. Does not having index on SQL table will impact profiling results?

Thanks for reaching out to us.

1.If your data is huge, it is recommended to avoid importing the data and use direct query first.

2.Optimize the current query model and delete unnecessary columns in the model in the advanced editor

3.Use Performance Analyzer to examine report element performance

4.Turn off the “Allow data preview to download in the background” option, and consider turning off data privacy checks
