Powerbi Salesforce Report - Single Sign-On Error

Hello Experts,

I have powerbi desktop dashboard connected to Salesforce report.

When I refresh I get below  : We can't log you in because of an issue with single sign-on. Contact your Salesforce admin for help.

Issue is intermittent however painful sometime have to try for hours before it works automatically.

- Tried opening and logging through browser before opening powerbi desktop.

- Clear permission

- clear cache and cookies

None of above helps, I was wondering if there is any way to workaround this faster. Checked out some post but no exact solution for this.

TIA!

Regards

Rajeev

Thanks @@v-henryk-mstf

After some trouobleshooting I found really have issue to login to Salesforce using internet explorer with exactly same single sign ON error. Where as it works perfectly okay using google Chrome.

I have IT tool o reset Internet explorer setting and everytime i use that to reset Internet explorers to all default setting and clear all cookies etc. It starts to work fine. but after sometime it goes back to single sigh on error.

When I reset again it works okay for a while.

I was wondering if I can change default browser to uses in powerBI can be changed to chrome.

where my system is already set to chrome as default or there is anythign I can fix in internext explorer.

Hi @rkumar24 ,

If you find that certain Salesforce users are able to login but others aren't. It is most likely that you need to assign additional User Profiles to your ScreenSteps connected app in Salesforce. You can see here: Why can't certain Salesforce users login with Single Sign-on? | Single Sign-on | ScreenSteps

You can also refer to similar questions, hoping to help you: Single sign-in authentication in Salesforce - Page 2 - Microsoft Power BI Community

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information screenshoot. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry
