PowerPivot in Designer

PowerPivot will be integrate in desginer in some time? or will need always need excel for manage powerpivot?

Yes.  There is a tabular instance (local mode) that is a child process of Power BI Desktop.  You have a Tabular model with Desktop.

Yes.  There is a tabular instance (local mode) that is a child process of Power BI Desktop.  You have a Tabular model with Desktop.

There are already modeling capabilities within Designer.  Calculated Columns and DAX Measures, Relationships.  Categorization.  Check out the May update for Power BI Designer along with the designer experience blog.
