PowerPivot import with oracle.oledb data source converts to teradata

Hi,

I try to import an Excel PowerPivot with oracle.oledb dataprovider to PBI desktop, but strangely the queries are transformed as a Teradata source.

---------------------------------------

let
    Source = #!" let#(cr)#(lf)    Source = Teradata.Database

---------------------------------------

The PowerPivot workbook refreshes succesfully and is configured to use oracle oledb provider.

Other PowerPivot workbooks are imported succesfully, but not this one. What could be the reason?

Hi,

I try to import an Excel with Oracle.oledb provider to Power BI Desktop and for some reason it gets translated to a Teradata source. In Advanced Editor it query starts with:

----------------------

let
    Source = #!" let#(cr)#(lf)    Source = Teradata.Database(""

-----------------------

In the imported power bi desktop file there are no data sources in the file, when looking at the data sources. In PowerPivot the data refresh and the connections work.

Other power pivot workbooks are imported normally with Oracle source.

HI @cevipu,

Can you please share more detail contents? (e.g. query,screenshots) It will be help for clarity your scenario.
In addition, you can try remove 'Source = #!" let#(cr)#(lf)' and test again.

Hi,

This issue doesn't occur when i use OLE DB Provider in an Excel Power Pivot Model and then imported into to Power BI Desktop.

But if i use Oracle provider in an Excel Power Pivot Model and then imported into to Power BI Desktop, it gets translated to a Teradata source. In Advanced Editor it query starts with:

----------------------

let
    Source = #!" let#(cr)#(lf)    Source = Teradata.Database(""

-----------------------

Hi,

I too facing the same issue, could you please let me know if any one find solution?

Thanks,

Raja Sekhar
