PowerBI -MDX Cube - YTD

Hi,

I have a Power BI Report where the data points are month-year(from date dimension) and a YTD measure.

The source is a multi-dimensional SSAS cube. The YTD Measure and month-year are taken from this cube.

Screenshot1.jpgThe issue is( as seen in screenshot) when I select more than one year in the filter(of the date dimension), the YTD measure shows up as BLANK in the 'card' report and the total is blank in the 'table' report.  It shows the desired result only if one year is selected.

Any help is appreciated.

The MDX for the measure is

Sum
(
PeriodsToDate([Date].[Hierarchy].[Eff Year Num]),[Measures].[CountX]
)

Hi @RekhaG,

Create a TOTALYTD to workaround.

Measure = TOTALYTD(SUM(Table1[sales]),Table1[date])

For more details, please check the pbix as attached.

Thank you for your response @v-frfei-msft.

I am using a multi dimensional cube as the source for my report. I cannot use TOTALYTD(DAX) on it.

Have you found the solution ?
