Power Bi desktop on the top of C4C cloud connection

Hi,

I have build Power BI desktop dashboard on the top of C4C cloud application via Cdata connector (imported data).

Shall I create a gateway and schedule a refresh or data is about to be updated automatically?

How does it work?

You can't schedule refresh for this dataset because the following data sources currently don't support refresh:

Discover Data Sources

Query contains unknown function name: CData.SAPHybrisC4C.DataSource Unknown function name: CData.SAPHybrisC4C.DataSource is a valid Mashup library function name format. Hence fail the operation.

Thanks

Hi @alextarki

Query contains unknown function name: CData.SAPHybrisC4C.DataSource Unknown function name: CData.SAPHybrisC4C.DataSource is a valid Mashup library function name format. Hence fail the operation.

The error seems to show that your  data source  contains unauthorized function inside. Is the error returned in desktop?

If you wanna set an automatically refresh for this dataset, you need to publish it to Service then configure the data source with a gateway.

Here is the reference.

Best Regards,
Kelly

@alextarki if it is onprem dataset, you need a gateway, I guess cdata downloads the data locally from this cloud application then you use it in power bi, correct? if yes, you need a gateway.
