Power Bi Dataset

Hi all,

I am having Power Bi dataset which is published having few reports linked to that dataset. I want to create new report for existing dataset. to do this i can dowload the .pbix from power Bi service and create new report in power Bi desktop and publish the report? it will work or not. if i publish the report it will create new dataset? or it update to existing dataset. if it update to existing dataset it will impact on any of the previose reports existing in the power BI service? Please advice on this.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Rajesh

Hey @Anonymous ,

you can easily create a new report based on an already existing data set.

To do that go in Power BI Desktop to "Get data" and then in the "Power Platform" area chose "Power BI datasets":

In the upcoming dialogue chose the desired data set.

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍
