Power BI upgrading "Visuals API" to version 4.6

Hi there!
I'm trying to use new version of "powerbi-visuals-api" (4.6.0), but application crashed.

For experiment, I also tried to create new clear app by command "pbiviz new <ProjectName>", but this app also crashed when I change version of Visual API to 4.6 in pbviz.json and package.json.

By default, pbiviz sets version "3.8.0", after changing to "4.4" app still works, but with "4.6" app crashes.

Capabilities.json looks like default, I only added one property which required by version 4.6

It would be great to find out why new version is not working on new-clear application.

@dm-p, could you help me with it? Or any idea? 🙏

Daniel, thank you so much for the information.

I will contact pbicvsupport@microsoft.com because features from version 4.6 are important for our application.

Regards,

Roman

Doesn't seem to work for anyone at the moment - we have another thread about it here 😞

Since then, I've also done a check by packaging the visual and attempting to load into June Desktop. You actually get a message in there that the API is not currently supported. I also get this in the Service with a packaged visual, so I'd guess that there is some kind of delay with deployment.

I'd suggest emailing the team (pbicvsupport@microsoft.com) to get further info as to why it's not working, if you need the features in 4.6 (I'm personally happy to stay on 3.8 for now).

Regards,

Daniel
