Power BI standalone data preparation

As more comapnies are focusing on having standalone data preparation tool, does anybody know whether Microsoft is planning to have  data prep in power bi for standalone options ?

One of key benefit of standalone data preparation is that after transformation you can publish the data to any data sources.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks!

Hi, @rajaveluk

I'd like to suggest you use dataflow. Power BI introduces dataflows to help organizations unify data from disparate sources and prepare it for modeling. Analysts can easily create dataflows, using familiar, self-service tools. Dataflows are used to ingest, transform, integrate, and enrich big data by defining data source connections.

For further information, you may refer the official document .

Best Regards

Allan

Dataflow is another option but our datalake is with different vendor, storing transformed externally is a challenge. If we do everything in Azure, it is  a great choice. Thanks for responding.
