Hello,
I have found the issue I have several times here but didn’t find a solution that helps me (could be I just don’t understand them :).
I am not able to set Schedule Refresh in Power BI Web for an Excel file hosted on a domain internal ftp server. Authorization is fine and I can refresh in Power BI Desktop. When I publish / update the report it’s updated in Power BI web successful. But using SCHEDULE REFRESH it comes up with the know error message
“You can't schedule refresh for this dataset because one or more sources currently don't support refresh”.
To fix this do I really have to create a M query and function like given in this solution?
or are there other ways to schedule refreshes of an Excel file from ftp source?
Many thanks,
Hanno

Hi,
sorry but I don't understand it. In the artikel linked is given:
"All online data sources shown in Power BI Desktop’s Get Data and Query Editor."
But that is exactly how I got the data into my report - using GET DATA in Power BI Desktop. So any idea why I can load it manually but not by schedule?
Thanks.
