Hello Experts,
I am new to power BI and facing one scenario where I have to generate report/charts from data in different schema (schema1, schema2, schema3 with same database).
Currently I am connected as Schema1, and problem I am having is table from schema2 and 3 aren't accessible.I am getting table now found error.How can we resolve this scenario?When I run query below I am getting Schema1.
select user from dual;
Please help me understand how to handle this situation?
Thanks
Hi @tina345,
it's probably not related to Power BI but more on your databases access.
Can you do SQL query on the other schema using a different tool?
You should probably ask your DB admin.
We use cognos and in there we set up some role for each objects
Once role are granted we can access objects on different schemas.
When I simply run a query to find user I am connected as (select user from dual), I see schema1.
I remember when I was initially launching power BI, I had entered some credentials on start up.Wondering if there is any way to check connection details involving database schema as user.
Hi, @tina345
You can check and change the dateset setting here.
