Hi All,
I am exploring Power BI Report Builder. When I click on the Data Sources node and select Add Data Source, I do not see an option to connect to Cosmos DB.
Power BI Desktop has this option. Why the difference?
thank you,
Sau

Hi @Anonymous
Cosmos DB is not supported for the report builder currently. Report builder is a report design toll in SSRS, which is similar to Power BI Desktop. But in desktop, we can do data modeling and data transformation while it can't be done in the report builder. and desktop supports more datasource type than report builder.

Are you able to publish your dataset with Cosmo DB to Power BI.com through Power BI Desktop, and then connect to that dataset through Report Builder instead?
If this works for you, please mark it as the solution. Kudos are appreciated too. Please let me know if not.

Pat
