Power BI on premise Query String filter

I'm new to power BI on premise. Does any one know how to filter data from query parameters for Power BI on-premise while SSAS as source. When I use SSAS(live data) as source, I'm seeing most of the parameter functionality is grayed out. For new preview release I was under impression  , I can create and configure report parameters in power BI on-premise same way as SSRS, it seems they're no way close.
Since, slicing is very much required functionality for any reports, I'm interested to see if there is any work around.

Any help on above would be really appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi @sgangireddy,

Until now, we are unable to create parameter in SSAS live connection model. You can create a request here.

Best Regards,
Angelia

Hi there, as far as I am aware there is no way currently to filter a live data source of SSAS. The only thing that springs to mind is you could filter the data by potentially using Row Level Security?
